Dr. Pallavi Aurora

Dr. Aurora is a licensed Clinical Psychologist offering evidence-based therapy for adults across North Carolina. Her goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where healing and growth can happen — together.
Clinical Expertise
Dr. Aurora has been providing mental health treatment for almost a decade. She has a breadth of advanced training in evidence-based (research supported) treatments for depression and anxiety, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Unified Protocol (UP) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) as well as trauma-informed treatments such as Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation (STAIR).
Dr. Aurora also has specialized training in treatments for insomnia (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia) and chronic pain (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Chronic Pain/Mindfulness Based Treatment). In addition to individual therapy, she also has extensive experience administering diagnostic and cognitive assessments (e.g., ADHD) to help understand your symptoms and to inform treatment recommendations and planning.

Education & Training
Dr. Aurora earned her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Kent State University. She completed her clinical internship at the Durham VA Health Care System and her postdoctoral training as a Mental Illness, Research, and Treatment (MIRT) fellow with the Mid-Atlantic Mental Illness, Research, Education, and Clinical Center at the Durham VA. During her training, she gained advanced clinical and research training in research-focused treatments. Dr. Aurora also serves as a supervisor to psychology residents, providing mentorship and guidance to the next generation of psychologists.
